Maine State Ballet invites you and your school students to a Backstage at Nutcracker performance on Tuesday, November 30th, 2010.

Two shows will be held that morning, the first at 9:30am and the second at 11:30am, at Merrill Auditorium, 20 Myrtle Street in Portland.

Each Backstage at Nutcracker performance runs approximately one hour. Students are treated to a slightly abbreviated version of the full Nutcracker ballet. In addition, the dance and technical components of staging a large scale production are explained such as costume construction, set design, the making of the falling snow, and dance training.
