Maine State Ballet's outreach programs extend to the schools, libraries, senior citizen centers, and hospitals with performances and lecture demonstrations. Through the Backstage productions and the school lecture series, Maine State Ballet reaches 3,000 - 5,000 students per year.

In a 2007 tap event, Maine State Ballet raised $3,800 for the pediatric fund of the Maine Foundation for Cardiac Surgery.
