Falmouth, Maine - The Maine State Ballet Theater comes alive with the sounds of Broadway this month, as Broadway veteran Jonathan Miele presents his annual Night of Broadway extravaganza.  The program, directed by Miele along with Musical Director Victoria Stubbs, features show-stopping tunes and fancy tap and jazz footwork performed by Maine State Ballet dancers. The show includes songs from My Fair Lady, Carousel, Les Miserables, Curtains, Chicago, Porgy and Bess, Bye Bye Birdie, Wicked, White Christmas and Little Shop of Horrors, to name but a few.  In typical Miele style, there will be many more surprises along the way.

Guest artists include some of southern Maine’s most popular performers, including Ellen Lefevre and Newton Curtis, who Miele first met when he was a high school student doing shows at Lyric Theater. David Goulet and David Coombs are also lending their superb voices to the evening, along with Stephen Filieo, a Portland Players veteran also known for his annual production of The Best of Broadway fundraiser. Other soloists include Suzy Cropper, John York, Danielle Vayenas, Rebecca Rinaldi, Jennifer Manzi MacLeod, Merilyn Melton, and Jim Gaddis, an accomplished vocalist who is one of Miele's former dance students.

A Night of Broadway opens Saturday, October 16th, with a matinee at 3pm and an evening performance at 7pm.  The fun continues with evening performances on Friday, October 22nd and Saturday, October 23rd at 7pm.
