Maine State Ballet blends time honored classics and contemporary works to bring diverse programming to its audience and to offer a varied repertoire to the company's growing number of talented dancers.

In addition to its renowned production of The Nutcracker, Maine State Ballet has also presented numerous spectacular full-length ballets - Sleeping Beauty, Don Quixote, Cinderella, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Alice in Wonderland, Hansel and Gretel, Coppelia, and Swan Lake – as well as the impressive one act productions of Peter and the Wolf, Paquita, The Firebird and Can Can Parisien.

Maine State Ballet's Falmouth location houses the Maine State Ballet Theater, enabling the company and the school to realize its vision of hosting a wide range of dance and performing arts productions throughout the year. Maine State Ballet annually stages The Nutcracker at the exquisite Merrill Auditorium in Portland.

Maine State Ballet’s annual season includes over 30 performances and reaches audiences of over 15,000 patrons.
